Movie Story:

The movie seemlessly integrates 4 central tracks - A film actror's life, misuse of power by politicians, struggle against false-hood, and indifference in society. Halla Bol is powered with exceptional performace by Pankaj Kapoor, who keeps excelling in every next movie. There is no doubting in Ajay Devgan's acting abilities, but to repeatedly perform good in every movie is a great acheivement.

However, the writer/director could have made the movie much better, given the issue they have used. They could have done away with Ajay Devgan not needing a bathroom.

Movie starts off showing Sameer Khan's (Ajay Devgan) success and his position in the film industry. He is called to a party where he witnesses the murder of Reshmi Sahani. She is killed by sons of two bigshots, one of whom is a powerful politician.

Sameer's real name is Ashfaque, who comes from a small town. Here he learns acting from Sidhu, who is a decoit turned social server. Sidhu spreads social awareness through road plays, raising critical issues and fighting for justice. Pankaj Kapoor (Sidhu) does a very good job in one sceen here.

So, aspiring Ashfaque acheives his dream of becoming a actor through hardship, luck and quickwit. He then proceeds to become a superstar, where he becomes arrogant and changes his basic nature. This alineates his parents, wife and Sidhu.

Rashmi's murder case, gives him an opportuninty to fight for real cause. He is movied by persistant fight by Reshmi's sister to sought justice. This is the turning point of the film, where Sameer determines to fight the case out, keeping his life, reputation and money on the case.

After that, Sadrhu and entire family supports sameer/Ashfaque. Here the movie show the fight by an glamorous actor and his difficulties. But at the end they all emerge trimpant.

All in all a good movie to watch once. - 3.5/5
