Increase Page Rank through Social Bookmarking - What is Social Bookmarking?

We can use Social Bookmarking to improve page rank of website by getting more external links .

What is social bookmarking?
Basically these are websites where we can store our favorite websites online. This is similar to the  "Add to Favorites " button in the Internet Explorer tool bar, except that the links are stored on the bookmarking website.

This is generally used to remember a good site you have visited.

How is it useful to improve my page rank?
What you need to do to improve page rank is to get as many external links (links from other websites) as possible. If it is coming from a higher page rank website then it is even better.
So, once you register in a social bookmarking website and add your site to your favorites then you will create an external link from other page to your website.

Is there any other way to get the external links without much effort?
Adding your website to directories is another easy way to get external links.
However, directories will scan your website before including them in there website.
Here it will be more advantageous because your site is available to public so, more traffic can flow.
